Considering that we often come across the products of the Kastela distillery Istarska kapljica in catering facilities throughout Istria, it was an exceptional pleasure for us to visit them in person.
This renowned Istrian distillery is located in the hamlet of Cerjani, only a few kilometers from Kastelir. In the product range we find 14 different types of brandy based exclusively on grape brandy. So, they turn grapes (whole grapes) into distillate or brandy and that is exactly the great advantage of this distillery. It is important to emphasize that in the production of sweet brandies they do not use sugar but only acacia honey. In addition, their products are one hundred percent natural because they do not use any dyes, preservatives and the like but macerate (in brandy or mead) natural ingredients such as green walnuts, elderflower, fruit and more. We are really proud of the Istarska kapljica distillery because they try very hard to offer something different from the others.

Apart from the fact that their brandies conquer all the senses at first, they are also the most awarded brandies in Istria. In the last 5 years, they have won as many as 65 medals, of which we would like to single out numerous international medals and very notable results at Vinistra. Apart from Vinistra, they are regularly present at the traditional Istrian Brandy Festival in HumOPG Goran Špehar.
