The home tavern is located in Sveti Petar in the woods, only a few kilometers from Tinjana and the water of Ju Mihael and Antonija Budak. They had the desire to create a place where they will only offer the best pig products in different combinations. They have their own 150 pigs, 150 chickens and 25 hectares of land on which they feed the food of animals, cereals from which their flour and seasonal vegetables used in the kitchen.
It is about young people who work themselves, from the beginning to the end. All they have today are created without incentives and support. What kind of business is possible, it may best show that they can accommodate a total of 80 people, and have the capacity of meat processing where they can dry up to 3000 prosciutto.
The goal of opening the tavern was to offer an indigenous Istrian product, in every sense of the word. So let’s say their prosciutto comes from pigs raised with them, that is, they did not get a finished pig, so they did meat processing. They feed them what they grow in their garden and process themselves and take advantage of the whole pig. They just wanted to point out – by the offer of pig products.
In addition to using this in the kitchen for making seasonal specialties, selling excellent cured products with a special emphasis on prosciutto. In addition, they also have their own chickens, eggs and vegetables.
